Sunwhore on Aloe

I’m a sunwhore. Not the lie-on-the-beach-and-roast kind, but rather the walk around town, stop here and there for a refreshment kind. I will sit outside at a café, maybe jot down some notes, do a little reading or look at the people around me. I might even eavesdrop on a conversation or two.
Today is my annual milestone: Sunburn Day! Every year, near the beginning of summer, I get the inevitable sunburn as a result of my adventures. This is a good thing. Yes, it might sting a bit, but it’s a surefire sign that summer really is here and I know that once this dies down, I won’t get burned again. Until next year.
Soon, all I will get is more and more tanned, and in the meantime, I thank the maker for aloe vera and all its blessings.

Lovely post.
Seems like the sunburns don’t come easy in Dublin, although this Sunday did live up to its name, and supplied a full day of rays. Niceness!
I wish I was a sunwhore as well…
