"Bicycle helmets? Forget it."
In all fairness, leaving your brains all over the road wouldn't be very cool either.

Whoa, seems I'm in the loop!
Moleskine dayplanner
Silver/Crome case for the cigarettes - this item also doubles as holder of businesscards. Ûbertrendy, I'm getting told!
Slide cellphone (way cooler than the bar or folding ones)
Miniture wallet - very unique and always gets compliments...

Whee - I'm in the cool crowd

Trine-Maria : Personal style notebooks are always cool. Some people modify their Moleskines (they make daily planners too, just so you know), but those leather-bound ones are pretty neat too.

Now, for the camera phones, I don't think they add or subtract anything one way or the other. They're just phones with a toy in them, and if you really want to take pictures, get yourself a point-and-shoot digital instead. And let there be no doubt about it: Anything relating to PowerPoint is definitely not cool. Eck!

Nice post - and funny idea

Cool that PDAs are finally out. I use a paper-calender (black leather - from Ordning&Reda) - but I am not sure it is cool? I just haven't figured out a better calender yet - any good suggestions from the design police? :-)

I have a Moleskine, but I really thought it was on it's way out? And a personal style of notebook could also boost the personalization? Hand made paper from Italy or something? :-)

And how about phones? Is there anyway you could be cool without a camera-phone? And what if you have a remote control for PowerPoint presentations in the bag - is it cool or not? And what if it has a red laser beam to point out the points?

I never leave home without one of my Swiss Army knives. I'm considering the card case as a swap for the wallet - that could do nicely . . .

yami : Sorry. PDAs were never really in, though. I mean, they were always sort of that in-between thing. Not really a laptop, not really a cellphone. They're out.

Thomas : So right you are. A Bag is an accessory in itself for sure, and I agree completely: Messenger-style is where it's at.

Nice post :-)

I think you missed the bag itself. It is very important to carry your stuff in the right bag. Backpacks are probably the most functional...but in my opinion only a messenger-style bag will do.

PDAs are out? Aww, geez, I was just getting to the point where a PDA might come in handy...
