If you are reading this, because you are wondering why I am talking about iStockphoto all the time, the whole story is described in detail in an earlier post. But the short story is: I basically discovered photography through iStock, starting back in 2000. I quit an IT-career to pursue shooting full time. In 2004, I joined the iStockphoto team of image inspectors and have since done a few other behind-the-scenes things there. Now, if you’re just interested in me on a more general level, read on.

It’s all about stories. I try to tell them with my pictures as well as my writing. My genre is crime, when it comes to fiction, and my love for the hardboiled, noir ambience often shines through in my images as well. Storytelling is also the reason I blog. I like to share my experiences with others. Maybe they’ll like, what I have to say. Maybe they won’t. As long as I get any kind of reaction, I’m satisfied.

I’m a people’s person. I do well at social gatherings, am not afraid of public speaking and even take pleasure in it, given the right circumstances. Especially, if I can talk to someone interested in what I do. Someone I can teach or learn from.

My friends and family mean everything to me. I am proud to say, that I have many good friends that I would trust with my life, though hopefully it won’t have to come to that.

I care little for money. I’ve known people who had more money than they knew what to do with, and people who were constantly scrounging to survive. My own financial situation has gone up and down several times too. And I have learned that money is not a solution to anything. At best, it is a tool.

My mission in life, is to create things that others might find something in. Whatever that may be, from simple entertainment to something more profound. Storytelling is my solution, and the best part is: There are stories everywhere.

Go ahead, show me some love.
