First, sorry to hear you have cancer (as part of my personal war against it, I refuse to capitalize the name of my enemy). I hope you kick its ass and send it packing! Second, thank you for your perspective. I think you’re right, there is no wrong path — but there is definitely one I prefer to the other.

I understand about Cancer, I have it myself and you hit a note in your comments: cancer does put everything in perspective and all of a sudden a lot of things one was afraid of are no longer a threat. I’ve been reconnecting with youthful passions lately, too, and it’s strange how many coincidences I’m running into to reinforce them — like finding a link to this site via Neil Gaiman (one of those youthful passions) and checking it out merely because my great-grandfather was also named Rasmus Rasmussen. Thank YOU for the inspiration.
