It’s time I post the first campaign recap, so both players, myself and readers who aren’t playing can keep up. Obviously, a lot of detail is lost when you compress many hours of gaming like this, but you should still get a good idea of what’s going on.
The campaign began when the heroes went to Mirrorwood and discovered a potentially dangerous organization called The Divine Order (TDO). Religious fanatics blaming studies of the Arcane for everything that is bad in the world, and therefore seek to eradicate it. Reporting on what they had found, the heroes were recruited by Queen Amaphina II of Arathor to find out more about TDO. Continue reading
With flapping wings and a flaming sword, the assassin came for them at first light.
Having defeated Brother Vilius in the temple of The Divine Order, the heroes went back to the wizard Horacius who wisely suggested they all leave Mirrorwood immediately, given that a third of the town population – including the sheriff – were followers of the man they had just killed. They quickly packed their gear and readied their horses; within the hour they were on the road. The destination: the glorious city of Arathor, the king’s city and home of the Wizard Council. Horacius seemed hopeful that they might shed more light on the recent trouble.

The party of heroes had only just thwarted a surprise attack on themselves and the wizard Horacius, and were now asked to follow this up with a visit to town. Here, the heroes were to go to the temple of The Divine Order and confront the man suspected to be behind the attack, Brother Vilius.
